Tampa church wants to fill prayer lines as National Day of Prayer approaches

Love First Christian Center has opened prayer lines daily as they get ready for the 2015 National Day of Prayer.

The Bay area church, where Dr. Jomo Cousins serves as Senior Pastor, wants to have 1000 lines filled with people all over the world praying.  So in preparation for the national event and to spread the word they are praying every morning Monday through Friday until then.

In the spirit of excellence we don’t want to wait until then to get the word out that we are praying every morning Monday – Friday at 6:30 a.m.

Last year LFCC reached an all time high on the prayer line with 482 lines.

The National Day of Prayer Tampa organization (NDP) is also preparing for the big day. They’re hosting three local events.   The main event “Worship and Prayer Rally for America” will take place at Steinbrenner Stadium on Thursday, May 7th 7:00 p.m. where congregants will join their citywide worship team and community leaders to pray for the nation.

Help us fill the stadium! Join our citywide worship team and community leaders to pray for our nation.

This is the 64th National Day of Prayer Observance.  Last year launched a wave of prayer that spread to over 42,000 gatherings across the nation according to the NDP Tampa wesbite.

The 2015 National Day of Prayer themed “Lord Hear Our Cry”,  will be May 7.
